This week with my appendectomy, the band/production teams coordinated and served meals to me and my family.
I'm always being affectionate with the worship team in emails, in person- telling them I love them, that I'm proud of them, referring to us as a "worship family." It's all intentional- not a leadership scheme or anything, just simply wanting to facilitate community. And being honest- I really feel that way.
It wasn't just a night or two- we're going on a week and a half every night a different family has brought us dinner. From homemade fajitas (secret family recipe) to home-style chicken, potatoes and green beans, to lasagna and klondike bars, to the brownies in the pic above, which, ahem, I've gotten into before I'm home from work...
I've just felt loved.
Thank you.
You've blessed me. It's one thing for the leader to always be saying things about community- but when you lead me and serve me, it's humbling- does so much good for my soul.
Worship team, thanks so much for loving on me and taking care of me. I really do love you guys, and am proud of you- thanks for caring about me:)
